“Writing is a job, a talent, but it’s also the place to go in your head. It is the imaginary friend you drink your tea with in the afternoon.” Ann Patchett
Classes and Workshops
I run a number of classes and workshops throughout the year. I am a MasterClass speaker for Apolitical’s writing courses, have lectured on the Storytelling for Social Justice course at Parson’s University, Paris as well as providing workshops and associated support for a number of other academic institutions.
This Autumn 2023 I will be running a Short-Storytelling Course – more details here.

Ridley’s Writing Room and The Write Lab
Every Tuesday evening at 8pm I host a session where writers gather together in a virtual room to write in-community. On a Friday lunchtime at 12pm, via The Write Lab section of RidleyWrites, I also co-host an identical session called The Write Lab.
It’s a supercool space and it’s amazing how much you can get done in less than an hour.
If you would like to join us, why not sign up here? Or to find out more about Ridley’s Writing Room read this blog post: A writing-room of your own.
